Delete your account
This page explains how to delete your Champs FC account and the data that goes with it. Champs FC is run by Cuyler Consulting (Pty) Ltd. It applies to the website and to the Champs FC apps on Google Play and the App Store.
How to delete your account
- Sign in at champsfc.com, or open the Champs FC app.
- Go to your account page.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- If you sign in with a password, type DELETE, enter your password and confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.
- If you sign in with Google or Apple, we email you a confirmation link. Open it within 30 minutes to finish.
Can't sign in? Email support@champsfc.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm it's you and delete it within 30 days.
What we delete
Straight away and permanently: your profile (email address, display name, avatar, timezone, email settings), your pool memberships, picks and predictions, your daily game plays, your XP and badges, feedback you sent from inside a game, your notification devices, and our records of which emails and reminders we sent you and which pages you visited.
What we keep, and for how long
- Pools you created stay for the other players in them, without you as the owner.
- A pool's activity feed may still show your display name next to events from when you played (for example "Nomsa picked Arsenal"), so the other players' history still makes sense.
- Messages you sent us through the contact form are kept so we can show what we answered, and are deleted on request.
- Server and security logs roll off on their normal cycle, generally within 90 days.
- Error reports and product analytics are tied to an account ID, never your name or email, and expire on our providers' normal schedules.
- We may keep a minimal record where the law requires it, or where we need it to defend a legal claim.
